Raincoat storyline

 "Raincoat" is a story set in Bangladesh, written by Humayun Ahmed. It revolves around a man named Nurul Islam, who lives in a village and is looking for a job to improve his family's financial situation. One day, Nurul receives a call for a job interview in Dhaka, the capital city. Excited and hopeful, he sets out for Dhaka despite the heavy rain.


However, Nurul forgets to bring his raincoat, and as he travels to Dhaka, he faces various challenges due to the rain. Along the way, he meets different people who offer him help and advice. Despite the difficulties, Nurul remains determined to reach his destination and succeed in the interview.


Ultimately, Nurul arrives in Dhaka and attends the job interview. Though nervous and uncertain, he gives his best effort. The story ends on a hopeful note, implying that Nurul's journey, despite the obstacles, may lead to a positive outcome for him and his family. Throughout the narrative, "Raincoat" highlights themes of perseverance, hope, and the struggles faced by ordinary people in Bangladesh.
